Coach Jazmine Smith runs an inner city Lacrosse and Field Hockey club, called Eyekonz, that changes young girl’s lives in Philadelphia. By fostering talent within sports that traditionally don’t cater to young Black women, “Coach Jaz” has given her students incredible opportunities to learn about life, determination, sports, and one another. She starts every practice with a moment of gratitude, self-reflection. We had the privilege of telling the “Eyekonz” story through a documentary lens, shot over 2 days in Philadelphia.
